Ayurveda

What is Ayurveda and how it can change your life

The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words AYUR (life) and VEDA (science or knowledge). Ayurveda translates to knowledge of life. The ancient Indian medical system, is based on ancient writings that rely on a natural and holistic approach to physical and mental health.

The basic principle of Ayurveda is based on the principle that prevention is better than cure. Ayurveda focuses on the root cause of the health problem and then provides balance in the body, mind, and consciousness through drinking, diet, and lifestyle.

Learning Ayurveda and having the opportunity to share it with others is an amazing experience. I continue to expand my knowledge through attending courses and workshops. My aim to practice Ayurveda in a way that is as authentic and honours the original teachings, while adapting to the world we live in today.

Ayurveda understands the body in a unique way and always considers the body, mind, spirit complex of the individual.
